Die F-liiga ist die höchste Spielklasse im Unihockey Finnlands der Herren.

Bei der Gründung 1986 hieß die Liga Salibandyn SM-sarja, 1994 erfolgte die Umbenennung in Salibandyliiga. Erster Meister wurde Manse United aus Tampere. Am 20. Mai 2020 verkündete der finnische Verband Suomen Salibandyliitto (SSBL), dass die Liga neu F-Liiga heißen wird. Ziel dabei ist es die Liga international bekannter und erfolgreicher werden zu lassen.cite-ref-1[1]

Es spielen 12 Mannschaften in der Hauptrunde, um die acht Plätze für die Play-offs, bei der dann letztendlich der Meister ermittelt wird. Der Tabellenvor- und letzte am Ende der Saison müssen in die Relegation und steigen gegebenenfalls in die Inssi-Divari ab.

Zur Saison 2025/26 stiegen die Hawks Helsinki trotz verlorener Relegation in die F-Liiga auf, nachdem Happee aufgrund finanzieller Schwierigkeiten die Erstligalizenz entzogen worden war.cite-ref-2[2]
